This Privacy Policy explains how Folds Dijital Hizmetler Anonim Şirketi (“Folds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the owner and operator of the Lookin mobile application (the “App”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal data when you use the App and the services made available through it, including wardrobe management, garment photo upload, AI-assisted image processing, garment categorization, virtual try-on of garments on a user-supplied or stock model, outfit recommendations, calendar features, and a chatbot limited to fashion and styling topics (the “Services”).
By using Lookin or registering for the App, you confirm that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your explicit consent for a particular processing activity, we will only carry out that activity if you provide it.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to process, store, protect, and where appropriate erase, destroy, or anonymize your personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law.
When you use Lookin, we may process the following categories of personal data:
Name, surname, username, age, date of birth, membership details, account identifier, profile information, and other information associated with your account.
Email address, phone number, and any other contact information you provide to us.
IP address, device identifier, device model, operating system, App version, session data, sign-in and sign-out logs, timestamps, error logs, log records, cookie/SDK identifiers, and security and transaction logs.
In-app activity, features used, wardrobe creation and editing actions, outfit-generation history, calendar usage, subscription and usage preferences, in-app settings, and interactions.
Garment photos; full-body model photos; wardrobe data; style preferences; size/measurement preferences; color preferences; calendar entries; text; chat inputs; chatbot messages; and other content you upload or transmit to the App.
Garment categories; image cleanup and background-removal results; virtual try-on images on a model; outfit and styling recommendations; chatbot responses; and other outputs generated by the App.
Purchase transactions, subscription type, billing period, purchase date, cancellation and renewal data. Payments processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or any other payment platform are subject to those platforms’ terms and privacy policies; we do not directly store your full card details.
Support requests, complaints, feedback, email correspondence, technical-support records, and information shared with us in the course of communications.
Whether you have opted in to commercial communications, marketing and notification preferences, and consent history.
We do not request from you sensitive personal data for identity-verification or authentication purposes (e.g., fingerprint, retinal, voice ID).
However, to use the virtual try-on feature, you upload a full-body photo of yourself to the App. By their nature, these images contain your facial features, body shape, body proportions, and other physical-appearance information. Under GDPR Article 9 and similar frameworks (including, where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA categorization of “sensitive personal information”), images of this type are treated as special categories of personal data and, depending on how they are processed, as biometric data.
For this reason, Lookin will process your full-body photos, facial features, and physical-appearance data for the purposes of virtual try-on, image processing, outfit generation, and user-experience personalization only on the basis of your explicit opt-in consent for that processing (GDPR Article 9(2)(a) and analogous provisions). This consent is collected through a separate, clearly identified in-app screen and is not bundled with your acceptance of these Terms or this Privacy Policy. Acceptance of the Terms or this Privacy Policy is not conditioned on your consenting to processing of full-body photos.
You may withdraw your explicit consent at any time, free of charge, through in-app settings or by emailing support@folds.co. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
If you upload photos or other content depicting third parties, you are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents from those persons.
We process personal data for the following purposes:
(a) creating your account, managing your membership, and performing identity-verification checks;
(b) providing wardrobe creation, garment upload, garment cleanup, categorization, virtual try-on, outfit recommendations, calendar features, and chatbot services;
(c) operating AI-assisted image processing, garment recognition, background removal, styling suggestions, and personalization;
(d) personalizing your experience and offering relevant suggestions and content;
(e) troubleshooting, debugging, performance analysis, and securing the App;
(f) preventing fraud, abuse, unlawful use, security incidents, and infringement of third-party rights;
(g) managing subscriptions, payments, purchases, cancellations, refunds, and billing;
(h) responding to user requests, support inquiries, complaints, and feedback;
(i) improving, developing, testing, and quality-controlling the App, the Services, and new features;
(j) complying with legal obligations and lawful requests from competent authorities;
(k) resolving disputes, protecting legal rights, generating evidence, and performing contractual obligations;
(l) with your opt-in consent, sending marketing, promotions, and other commercial communications;
(m) with your explicit opt-in consent, using User Content to train or develop AI models for general purposes beyond providing the Services to you.
Where the GDPR or analogous laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
Processing required to create your account, deliver the Services, manage subscriptions and payments, and perform our obligations to you.
Processing required to comply with statutory record-keeping, tax, accounting, anti-fraud, audit, notification, and response obligations.
Processing for the resolution of disputes, evidence creation, detection of security incidents, and exercise or defense of legal rights.
Processing to secure the App, prevent abuse, debug, measure performance, improve user experience, and develop the product, where our interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms.
Processing of full-body photos and similar special-category data, sending marketing communications, using User Content to train general AI models, certain cookies/SDKs, and any other activity that requires consent under applicable law. Such processing is carried out only if you provide explicit opt-in consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.
We primarily process your User Content (garment photos, full-body photos, wardrobe data, chat content, and other uploaded items) to deliver the Services to you.
Within that scope, User Content may be used for image processing, garment cleanup, categorization, virtual try-on, outfit generation, calendar management, chatbot responses, error correction, security, and customer support.
User Content will be used to train or develop AI models for purposes beyond providing the Services to you only if you provide separate, explicit opt-in consent. Declining this consent does not prevent you from using the core Services, although certain personalization or development features may be limited.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
We may disclose your personal data, in accordance with applicable law and only as necessary, to the following categories of recipients:
(a) hosting, cloud, server, data-storage, and infrastructure providers;
(b) AI API providers, image-processing providers, and technical-integration partners. In particular, we have direct contractual relationships with: fal.ai (virtual try-on, image generation, image cleanup, background removal, and other AI-assisted image processing); OpenAI (chatbot and natural-language services); and Google Cloud Platform (cloud hosting, server, storage, and infrastructure services). These providers may rely on their own sub-processors to perform their services; current sub-processor lists are published by the relevant provider. (c) app stores, payment processors, subscription and billing providers;
(d) technical support, security, analytics, error-monitoring, notification, and customer-support providers;
(e) legal, accounting, audit, and other professional advisors;
(f) competent governmental authorities, courts, law-enforcement bodies, and other entities authorized by law to request data;
(g) in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, to the relevant counterparties.
Disclosures are limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose, and recipients are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We operate globally and rely on service providers located outside Türkiye, primarily in the United States and the European Union. This means that personal data—including full-body photos, facial features and body data, garment images, chat content, account details, and technical data—may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions other than your country of residence, including jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country of residence.
For transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to third countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection. These safeguards include: (i) adequacy decisions issued by the European Commission, the UK government, or the Swiss Federal Council, where applicable; (ii) the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and the Swiss equivalents; (iii) supplementary measures where required; and (iv) other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Where you are a resident of Türkiye, transfers are made in accordance with applicable Turkish data-protection law, including standard contractual clauses approved by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority and, where required, your explicit consent.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is collected and for the retention periods required by applicable law.
When you delete your account or submit a deletion request, personal data held in active systems will be erased, destroyed, or anonymized within thirty (30) days as a rule.
We may retain certain data for a longer period where necessary for:
(a) statutory retention obligations;
(b) dispute resolution, legal-claim defense, and evidentiary purposes;
(c) billing, payment, subscription, transaction-security, and log records;
(d) investigation of security incidents, abuse, or unlawful use.
Data residing in backup systems will be erased or rendered inaccessible during the normal backup cycle.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. These may include access controls, encryption, firewalls, logging, authentication, data minimization, periodic security reviews, prevention of unauthorized access, and breach-notification processes.
No digital system is one hundred percent secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, device, and access methods.
Jailbreaking, rooting, or otherwise modifying your device can compromise security and impair the secure operation of the App.
Where required by applicable law, we will notify supervisory authorities and affected individuals of personal-data breaches within the timeframes prescribed by law (e.g., within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of a notifiable breach under the GDPR).
We may use cookies, mobile SDKs, pixel technologies, device identifiers, analytics tools, and similar technologies within the App and the Services, including for:
(a) session management and authentication;
(b) security and abuse prevention;
(c) measuring App performance;
(d) error detection and technical improvement;
(e) improving user experience;
(f) with your opt-in consent where required, providing marketing, advertising, and personalized content.
Where required by applicable law, consent is obtained separately for non-essential cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies.
We will only send you marketing, promotional, or advertising communications with your prior opt-in consent where such consent is required by applicable law. Consent to receive marketing is not a condition of using the App or accepting this Privacy Policy.
You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time, free of charge, through the unsubscribe link, in-app preferences, or by emailing support@folds.co.
Service-related communications—including security notices, password resets, subscription and payment confirmations, technical notices, and other communications necessary to perform our contractual obligations—are not considered marketing.
The App may integrate with third-party services, including Apple App Store, Google Play, payment processors, cloud services, AI APIs, analytics, error-monitoring, and security tools.
These third-party services have their own privacy policies and terms of use. We do not directly control the systems, processing activities, or privacy practices of those third parties.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of service of any third-party platform you interact with via the App.
The App is intended for users who are 18 or older, or who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction. Minors may only use the App with the verifiable consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where 16 is the digital age of consent), in accordance with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), the GDPR, and analogous laws.
If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@folds.co and we will take appropriate steps to delete that data.
Lookin is not a child therapy, child psychiatry, or other professional service for minors.
Subject to applicable law, you may have one or more of the following rights with respect to your personal data:
(a) to confirm whether we process your personal data and to obtain a copy (access);
(b) to obtain rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
(c) to request erasure (the “right to be forgotten”) where applicable;
(d) to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
(e) to object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing;
(f) to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and have it transmitted to another controller (data portability);
(g) to withdraw any consent you have provided, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
(h) not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing (including profiling) that produces legal or similarly significant effects, except as permitted by law;
(i) to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.
If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the rights set out in the GDPR and analogous laws. You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence, place of work, or alleged infringement.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including:
— the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it;
— the right to request the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
— the right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to applicable exceptions;
— the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
— the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (including, where applicable, biometric-like data such as full-body images);
— the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Lookin does not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA;
— the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
You may exercise these rights via the contact methods set out in Section 16. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, including access, deletion, correction, portability, opt-out of targeted advertising, and the ability to appeal denied requests. We may ask you to provide reasonable information to verify your identity before responding to your request. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically within thirty (30) days, subject to extension where permitted by law).
There is no fee for exercising your rights, except where requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, in which case applicable law may permit a reasonable fee or refusal of the request.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes that adversely affect your rights will be communicated to you in advance through in-app notification, email, or another reasonable method.
The current version of this Privacy Policy is available within the App and on Lookin’s designated digital channels. The “Last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when it was last revised.
